Growing up, I lived on a farm between Ellsworth and Rock Rapids. I went to school at Central Lyon in Rock Rapids and graduated in 2005. From there I went on to the University of Sioux Falls, where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 2009. I currently live in Ellsworth and enjoy reading, helping on my parent’s farm, spending time with friends and family, and practice my photography skills just for fun. This is my fourth year as the first grade teacher in Ellsworth. Throughout the past eight years I have held many different positions including Title 1 Reading and Math, Preschool, Special Education, and have been a paraprofessional, as well. I love teaching because I love working with kids and love helping each student grow and succeed. Most importantly I want every child who comes in my room to walk out at the end of the year with a love for learning.
